Getting There

  • Bus

    From Renton, head to the Renton Transit Center located at 100 Mill Avenue South. Take the Sound Transit Route 586 bus towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. You will pass through Tukwila and arrive at the West Seattle Junction. At the Junction, transfer to the King County Metro Route 50 bus. Ride the Route 50 for about 15 minutes until you reach the Alki Beach stop. Get off at Alki Beach and you will be right at the beach area.

  • Light Rail and Bus

    Walk to the nearest Link Light Rail Station, which is the Tukwila International Boulevard Station. Take the Link Light Rail towards Northgate. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Westlake Station. From there, transfer to the King County Metro Route 773 bus towards West Seattle. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the Alki Beach stop. This will bring you directly to Alki Beach.

  • Walking and Ferry

    If you prefer a more scenic route, walk to the Renton Landing and catch the water taxi to West Seattle. The water taxi provides a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. Once you arrive at the West Seattle dock, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to Alki Beach. Follow the waterfront path along Alki Avenue SW until you reach the beach.
