Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are near downtown Tacoma, you can take the Pierce Transit bus route 1 or 2. Board the bus at any nearby stop marked with a 'Bus Stop' sign. Make sure to check the route schedule for the bus you choose. Ride the bus until you reach the '9th & Pacific' stop. From there, walk north on Pacific Avenue for about two blocks until you reach the Tacoma Art Museum at 1701 Pacific Ave.

• Walking

  If you are already in the downtown area, you can easily walk to the Tacoma Art Museum. Start at the intersection of 9th Street and Pacific Avenue. Head north on Pacific Avenue for about two blocks. The museum will be on your left side at 1701 Pacific Ave. Look for the large sign outside to ensure you're at the right place.

• Light Rail

  If you are near the Tacoma Dome Station, you can take the Sound Transit Link light rail towards the University of Washington Tacoma. Get off at the 'Commerce Street' station. From Commerce Street, walk east on 11th Street towards Pacific Avenue. Turn left onto Pacific Avenue and walk north for about three blocks until you reach the Tacoma Art Museum at 1701 Pacific Ave.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a direct route, you can call a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Tacoma Art Museum' or the address '1701 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402' into the app. The driver will take you directly to the museum entrance.
