Getting There

  • Car

    From Seattle, take I-5 North toward Everett. Merge onto US-2 East toward Snohomish. Continue on US-2 for about 25 miles. Turn left onto Mountain Loop Highway (WA-204). Follow Mountain Loop Highway for approximately 20 miles until you reach the Monte Cristo Trailhead. Note that the road can be narrow and winding, and seasonal closures may occur, so check road conditions before your trip.

    If you're coming from the town of Granite Falls, head east on N Granite Ave. Continue onto E Stanley St, which becomes Mountain Loop Highway. Follow the highway for about 12 miles. Be prepared for a moderately challenging hike and ensure you have proper hiking gear.
