If you are starting from downtown Yakima, head east on Yakima Ave. Continue for about 0.7 miles until you reach 1st St. Turn left onto 1st St and continue for another 0.5 miles. This road will turn into River Rd. Follow River Rd for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with 40th Ave. Chesterley Park will be on your left at the corner of 40th Ave and River Rd. The park entrance is easily accessible from the sidewalk.

From the Yakima Transit Center, take Bus Route 1 towards East Yakima. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the '40th Ave at River Rd' stop. Chesterley Park is directly across the street from the bus stop. Cross River Rd at the designated crosswalk to enter the park.
