Getting There

• Car

  From the Dolly Sods Wilderness area, take County Route 19 (Canaan Valley Road) south towards the town of Davis. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with US-48. Turn left onto US-48 East and continue until you reach the town of Parsons. In Parsons, take a right onto Table Rock Trail. Follow Table Rock Trail for approximately 3 miles until you reach the Table Rock Trailhead parking area, which will be on your left. Note that parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with cash.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound bus or a local shuttle service to Parsons, WV. Once you arrive in Parsons, the Table Rock Trailhead is about 3 miles away from the bus station. You can either use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft, or if you prefer to walk, head east on Main Street, then turn onto Table Rock Trail. Be prepared for a moderate walk along this road to reach the trailhead.

• Hiking

  If you are already in the Dolly Sods Wilderness and are up for a hike, you can start from various points in the wilderness. Follow the marked trails leading towards Table Rock. Ensure you have a map or GPS as the trails can be less defined. This option is suitable for those who are physically fit and enjoy longer treks through the wilderness. The hike can take several hours depending on your starting point.
