    From the center of Beckley, you can take the Mountain Transit Authority bus (Route 1) towards Maplewood. Board the bus at the Beckley Intermodal Gateway located at 200 S. Heber Street. Ride the bus until you reach the stop near the intersection of US-19 and Babcock State Park Rd. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to the Grist Mill located at 486 Babcock State Park Rd. The walk will take you through the scenic landscape of Babcock State Park.

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Beckley. Start at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. Head south on S. Kanawha St. towards US-19. Merge onto US-19 N and follow the road for about 10 miles. Turn right onto Babcock State Park Rd and continue for about 1 mile to reach the Grist Mill. The ride will provide you with beautiful views of the countryside.

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine located at 513 Ewart Ave. Walk west on Ewart Ave until you reach S. Kanawha St, then turn left. Continue on S. Kanawha St until you reach US-19. Cross over to the opposite side and follow the signs to Babcock State Park. Note that this is a long walk of approximately 6 miles, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the distance.
