Begin your journey at the Bluefield Transit Center located at 600 S. College Ave, Bluefield, WV. Board the bus heading to Hillsboro. The bus schedule may vary, so it’s advisable to check the local transit website or call ahead for the latest timings. Once you arrive in Hillsboro, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park. Head northeast on Main Street, then take a left onto Droop Park Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles until you reach the park entrance at 683 Droop Park Road.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Bluefield. Start at the Bluefield City Park and head north on College Avenue. Follow Route 460 East until you reach the intersection with Route 219. Take Route 219 North towards Hillsboro. Be cautious as you ride, as some sections may have busy traffic. Upon reaching Hillsboro, turn left onto Droop Park Road and continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park at 683 Droop Park Road.
