Getting There

  • Car

    From any point within Dolly Sods Wilderness, navigate to the nearest main road (Forest Road 75 or 19). Head south towards Davis, WV. Follow signs for Route 32 South. Continue on Route 32 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 48. Turn left onto Route 48 East and drive for about 5 miles. You will see signs for Canaan Valley State Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    Public transportation options are limited in the area, so it is recommended to check with local services such as the Mountain Transit Authority. If you can reach Davis, WV via bus or shuttle, you can then take a taxi or rideshare service to Canaan Valley State Park. Please check the schedule in advance as services may not run frequently.
