Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Morgantown Public Library, exit the library and head southeast on Walnut St toward W Main St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with W Main St, where you will take a left. Follow W Main St, which will turn into the Monongahela River Trail. Walk along the trail for about 0.5 miles, enjoying the scenic river views. You will eventually see signs for Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. The entrance to the park is located at 185 Garrett St, which is just off the trail.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  If you’re near the downtown area, head to the nearest bus stop and look for the Mountain Line Transit bus service. Take the bus that heads toward the West Virginia University campus. Get off at the stop closest to the Monongahela River, and from there, you can walk to the park. Head east along the riverbank and follow the Monongahela River Trail, which will lead you to Hazel Ruby McQuain Park at 185 Garrett St.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, start from the downtown area and ride toward the riverfront. Follow the Monongahela River Trail heading south. The trail is well-marked and offers views of the river. After about 1 mile, you will see signs for Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. The park’s entrance is located at 185 Garrett St. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.
