    If you're in the center of Baileys Harbor, head north on County Road E (also known as Ridges Road) for about 1.5 miles. You’ll pass beautiful views of the lake on your left. When you reach Maple Road, turn left and continue for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to Kangaroo Lake Nature Preserve on your right. The path to the preserve is clearly marked.

    From the Baileys Harbor Town Dock, head east on County Road F for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with County Road E. Turn right onto County Road E and continue for about 1 mile. As you approach Maple Road, keep an eye out for signage directing you to the preserve. Turn left onto Maple Road and walk for another 0.5 miles to reach the entrance of Kangaroo Lake Nature Preserve.

  • Public Transportation

    Check for local shuttle services that operate in Door County. Many shuttles will drop you off in Baileys Harbor. Once you arrive at the Baileys Harbor area, you can either walk or bike to Kangaroo Lake Nature Preserve. If you walk from the shuttle stop, head north on County Road E, then turn left on Maple Road and proceed to the entrance of the preserve.
