From the city of Sturgeon Bay, start at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Jefferson Street. Head east on Jefferson Street towards the waterfront until you reach the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal. Follow the bike path along the canal which will take you through scenic views. Continue on the path until you reach the intersection with County Road S. Turn left onto County Road S and follow it north. After approximately 5 miles, you will arrive at Whitefish Dunes State Park at 3275 Clarks Lake Rd.

If you are located in the town of Baileys Harbor, start at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. Walk northeast on County Road F until you reach the intersection with County Road A. Turn right onto County Road A and continue walking until you reach the T-junction. Turn left onto Clarks Lake Road.
