Turn right onto County Highway VV, and continue for approximately 1 mile. The entrance to Nelson Dewey State Park will be on your left at 12190 Co Hwy VV. There is no entrance fee for the park, but be prepared for potential parking fees if you choose to park in designated areas.
Public Transportation and Walking
If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest major town, which is Prairie du Chien, WI. From Prairie du Chien, you may need to arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to Nelson Dewey State Park as public transport options directly to the park are limited. The distance from Prairie du Chien to the park is about 20 miles, and taxi fares may vary; expect to pay around $30-$50 for the ride.
