If you're traveling by car, start on US-12 heading towards Cross Plains. Take exit 253 for County Rd KP, and then turn left onto County Rd KP. Continue on KP for about 2 miles until you reach a T-intersection. Turn right onto Main St, which will lead you directly into Cross Plains. After about a mile, look for Ice Age National Scenic Trail on your left at 1883 Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Cross Plains, WI 53528. There is parking available on-site.

If you're using public transportation, you can take a bus to Madison and then transfer to a local bus heading towards Cross Plains. Check the Madison Metro Transit website for schedules. Once you arrive in Cross Plains, you can either walk to the trailhead at 1883 Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which is about a 1.5-mile walk from the bus stop, or use a local taxi service to reach the trail directly.
