Bus
From downtown Kenosha, head to the Kenosha Transit Center located at 50th Street and 6th Avenue. Take the Route 4 bus heading towards the Kenosha Regional Airport. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at 41st Street and Green Bay Road. From there, you will need to walk to the nearest Metra station, which is about 0.5 miles away. Board the Metra train heading towards Chicago and get off at Highland Park Station. From the station, it's approximately a 15-minute walk northeast to reach Highland Park.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Kenosha Harbor and head north along the lakefront trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Green Bay Road. Turn left onto Green Bay Road and continue cycling north for about 10 miles. You will arrive in Highland Park. The ride will take you approximately an hour, depending on your pace.

If you are nearby in Kenosha, start at the Kenosha Public Museum located at 5500 1st Avenue. Walk north along 1st Avenue until you reach 50th Street. Turn left on 50th Street and continue walking until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn right and continue heading north until you reach the intersection with Green Bay Road. From there, continue walking north for about 10 miles, which will take approximately 3-4 hours at a leisurely pace to reach Highland Park.
