If you're starting from downtown La Crosse, head north on 3rd Street toward Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Cass Street. Here, you will find a pedestrian-friendly route along the riverfront. Follow the walking path along the Mississippi River, enjoying the views. Continue on the path until you reach the Pettibone Park entrance at 700 N Pettibone Dr.
Biking
For a biking route from downtown La Crosse, start by heading north on 4th Street toward State Street. Turn left onto State Street and then right onto the bike path that runs parallel to the river. Follow this path along the Mississippi River for about 2 miles until you see the signs for Pettibone Park. The park entrance is at 700 N Pettibone Dr. Make sure to use bike lanes where available.
Public Transit
To reach Pettibone Park via public transport, take the La Crosse Municipal Transit Utility (MTU) bus number 7 from any downtown stop heading towards the airport. Get off at the stop near the intersection of 7th Street and Cass Street. From there, walk north on Cass Street until you reach the riverfront path, then follow the path west until you reach Pettibone Park at 700 N Pettibone Dr.
