Public Transit - Bus
If you're starting from downtown Milwaukee, head to the nearest bus stop on W Wisconsin Ave. You can catch the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus route 18 towards 'West Milwaukee'. Get off at the stop at S 27th St & W Forest Home Ave. From there, walk west on W Forest Home Ave for about 0.5 miles, and you'll reach Forest Home Cemetery located at 2405 W Forest Home Ave.
Public Transit - Light Rail
While Milwaukee does not have a light rail system currently, you can take the Milwaukee Streetcar (The Hop) to the nearest stop at N Water St & E St. Paul Ave. From there, transfer to bus route 18 at the stop on E St. Paul Ave & N Broadway, heading towards 'West Milwaukee'. Get off at S 27th St & W Forest Home Ave, and walk west for about 0.5 miles to reach Forest Home Cemetery.
Walking
If you are near the Milwaukee Public Market, you can walk to Forest Home Cemetery. Head south on N Water St, then turn left onto E Chicago St. Continue on Chicago St until you reach S 1st St. Turn right and continue south to W Greenfield Ave. Turn left on Greenfield Ave and follow it until you reach S 27th St. Turn right and walk down S 27th St to W Forest Home Ave. Turn left on W Forest Home Ave and you’ll find the cemetery at 2405 W Forest Home Ave.
