Bus
From Racine, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Route 143 bus towards Milwaukee. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Milwaukee, get off at the Wisconsin Ave & 8th St stop. From there, walk west on Wisconsin Ave for about 5 minutes. The Milwaukee Central Library will be on your left at 814 W Wisconsin Ave.
Train
Head to the Racine Amtrak Station and board the train heading to Milwaukee. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Milwaukee Intermodal Station, exit the station and head to the nearest bus stop to catch a bus (Route 30) or walk 10 minutes east on W St Paul Ave, then turn left onto W Wisconsin Ave. The Milwaukee Central Library will be on your right at 814 W Wisconsin Ave.
Bicycle
If you're up for a ride, consider renting a bicycle. Start by heading north on Main St from Racine towards the Root River Pathway. Follow the pathway to connect with the Oak Leaf Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach downtown Milwaukee. From there, navigate to W Wisconsin Ave and head west for about 10 minutes. The Milwaukee Central Library will be on your left at 814 W Wisconsin Ave.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and would like to walk, you can start from the Racine Harbor and walk along the lakefront to the south. Follow the scenic paths heading north until you reach Milwaukee, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour walk. Once you reach downtown Milwaukee, make your way to W Wisconsin Ave and head west for about 10 minutes until you reach the Milwaukee Central Library at 814 W Wisconsin Ave.
