Walking
If you are in downtown Sturgeon Bay, start by heading east on Jefferson Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 3rd Avenue. Turn left onto 3rd Avenue and walk north until you reach the intersection with Michigan Street. Turn right onto Michigan Street and continue walking until you reach the edge of the Bay. From here, you can find signs directing you towards Fish Creek. Follow these signs, as the path will lead you along the scenic waterfront. Keep walking until you reach the Fish Creek area, where you can find a bus stop that services the Door County area. Take the Door County Trolley or a local bus that heads towards Peninsula State Park. The park entrance is located at 9462 Shore Rd, Fish Creek, WI 54212.
Biking
For a more adventurous route, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Sturgeon Bay. Start by heading north on 3rd Avenue until you reach the intersection with Michigan Street. Make a right on Michigan Street and continue biking along the waterfront. Look for bike paths that lead towards Fish Creek. The route will take you along scenic roads with beautiful views of the bay. Follow the signs that direct you towards Peninsula State Park. Once you reach the park, you can enjoy the various trails and natural beauty it offers.
Public Transport
From Sturgeon Bay, locate the nearest bus stop that services Door County. You may need to ask locals for the closest stop or check local transportation schedules. Once you find the right bus route, board the bus that heads towards Fish Creek. After a journey of approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Fish Creek stop. From there, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Peninsula State Park at 9462 Shore Rd. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip as well.
