Car
If you are driving from Rawlins, head east on I-80. Take exit 235 for US-287 N towards Laramie. Continue on US-287 N for about 25 miles until you reach the town of Elk Mountain. Turn left onto Bridge Street. The Elk Mountain Museum will be on your left at 105 Bridge St.
Car
From Saratoga, take WY-130 W towards Walcott Junction. After about 22 miles, turn left onto US-287 S. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach Elk Mountain. Turn right onto Bridge Street, and the museum will be located on your left at 105 Bridge St.
Public Transportation
Currently, public transportation options are limited in Carbon County. However, you can use the Greyhound bus service to reach Rawlins. Once in Rawlins, you may need to arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to get to Elk Mountain, as direct public transport to Elk Mountain may not be available. The taxi fare will vary, so please check local rates.
Walking
For those in Elk Mountain, the museum is easily accessible on foot. If you are near the center of Elk Mountain, simply walk towards Bridge Street. The museum is located at 105 Bridge St, which is within a short walking distance from most residential areas in town.
