To reach Thunder Basin National Grassland from any location in the Green River Basin, start by getting onto US-287 N. Follow US-287 N for approximately 100 miles. You will pass through the towns of Lander and Riverton. Continue on US-287 until you reach the junction with I-25 N. Merge onto I-25 N and continue for about 70 miles. Take exit 140 for WY-59 N towards Douglas and continue on WY-59 N for approximately 15 miles. Once you reach Douglas, turn left onto E Richards St. The entrance to Thunder Basin National Grassland will be at 2250 E Richards St, Douglas, WY 82633. Make sure to check your fuel levels as there may be limited services along the way.
