Public Bus
From the center of Laramie, take the Greyhound bus service towards Fort Laramie. The bus departs from the Laramie Bus Station at 5th and Grand Avenue. Confirm the schedule and buy a ticket to Fort Laramie. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fort Laramie stop, walk east on Grey Rocks Road for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Fort Laramie National Historic Site entrance.

Bicycle
Begin by heading east on E Grand Ave from downtown Laramie. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-287 S. Turn left onto US-287 S and follow it out of town for about 12 miles. Be sure to follow the designated bike lanes and watch for traffic. After you pass through the small town of Fort Laramie, look for Grey Rocks Road on your right. Turn right onto Grey Rocks Road and continue for about 3 miles to reach Fort Laramie National Historic Site.

If you are up for a long walk, start from the Laramie city center and head northeast on E Grand Ave towards US-287 N. Follow E Grand Ave until you reach the intersection with US-287 N and turn right. Walk along US-287 N for approximately 12 miles, watching for traffic. After you arrive in Fort Laramie, turn right onto Grey Rocks Road and walk about 3 miles to the Fort Laramie National Historic Site.
