To reach Savage Run Wilderness from anywhere in Snowy Range, start by getting onto Highway 130. Head south on Highway 130 towards the town of Encampment. Once you reach Encampment, turn onto County Road 400 (also known as Savage Run Road). Follow this road for approximately 5 miles until you reach the Savage Run Wilderness area. There is no entrance fee, but ensure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads.
