Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Teton County, head towards Grand Teton National Park. From Jackson, WY, take US-26/89 North for about 12 miles. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Teton Park Road. Turn left onto Teton Park Road and continue for approximately 8 miles, passing the Moose Entrance Station (there is an entrance fee of $35 per vehicle valid for 7 days). After this, look for Mount Moran Turnout on your right, just past the Oxbow Bend viewpoint. The turnout is well-marked, and there is a designated parking area.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, use the START Bus service, which operates throughout Teton County. You can take the START Bus from Jackson to the Grand Teton National Park area. Check the current schedule and routes on the START Bus website. Disembark at the nearest stop to Teton Park Road, and from there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Mount Moran Turnout. It's advisable to check the weather and wear comfortable shoes for the walk.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, Teton County has bike paths that connect Jackson to Grand Teton National Park. Rent a bike from a local shop in Jackson and follow the bike paths to the park. Once you reach Teton Park Road, you can cycle to Mount Moran Turnout. Be aware that cycling on park roads can be challenging due to traffic, so always stay aware and ride defensively.
