Car

If you are in the Wind River Basin, start by heading southwest on WY-28 from the center of the basin. Continue for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with WY-789. Take a left onto WY-789 and continue driving for approximately 24 miles. You will pass through the town of Thermopolis. As you approach Thermopolis, look for signs directing you to Wind River Canyon.
