Car
Start your journey in the city center of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan. From Zinjibar, head east on the main road, following the signs towards Al Mahfad. Continue driving for about 40 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork, which will lead you towards Jabal al-'Awd. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see the mountain peak ahead. There is a dirt road that leads up to a viewpoint; be cautious as the road may be rough. Park your car safely and hike up to the peak for the best views.

From the main bus station in Zinjibar, take a shared taxi or minibus heading towards Al Mahfad. The fare should be around 1000 YER (Yemeni Riyals). Inform the driver that you want to go to Jabal al-'Awd. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the fork in the road, where the driver will drop you off, you will need to negotiate with local drivers or find a way to continue to the base of the mountain on foot, which may take about 30 minutes. Be prepared for a hike up the dirt road to reach the peak.
