Getting there

Car

To reach Oryx Falls by car, start by driving to Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. From Lusaka, take the Great East Road towards Chipata. After approximately 4 hours of driving, you will reach Chipata. From Chipata, continue driving east towards Mfuwe. Once you reach Mfuwe, ask for directions to Oryx Falls as it may not be well-marked. Be prepared for rough and unpaved roads in some areas, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation

If using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Lusaka to Chipata. From Chipata, you can take another bus or hire a taxi to Mfuwe. Once in Mfuwe, you may need to hire a local guide or taxi to take you to Oryx Falls, as it may not be easily accessible by public transportation. Be prepared for long travel times and potentially multiple transfers.
