Getting There

  • Car

    From the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage, head northwest on the main road towards Solwezi. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach a junction where you can either continue straight or turn left. Take the left turn towards Solwezi. Continue driving for another 25 kilometers until you see a sign for KIMALE VIEWPOINT HILL on your right. Follow the signs and take the access road leading to the viewpoint. There may be a small parking area available.

    From Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage, you can take a minibus to Solwezi. The minibuses are usually available near the entrance of the orphanage. Inform the driver that you are going to Solwezi, and the ride should cost around ZMW 30 (Zambian Kwacha). Once you reach Solwezi, ask locals for directions to KIMALE VIEWPOINT HILL, which is approximately 15 kilometers from the city center. You may need to hire a taxi for this final leg of your journey, which could cost around ZMW 100.
