Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Livingstone. Head east on the Mosi-oa-Tunya Road (A8) towards the Zambezi River. Follow the signs for the Zambezi National Park. After approximately 10 km, turn left onto the road leading to Knife Edge Bridge. Continue for about 5 km until you reach the parking area. There may be a small parking fee, so be prepared with cash.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a minibus from Livingstone to the Zambezi National Park. Minibuses leave from the central bus station. The fare should be around 20 ZMW. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entry fee (approximately 50 ZMW) to access the trails leading to Knife Edge Bridge. After entering, follow the marked trails for about 2 km to reach the bridge. It’s advisable to ask locals for directions if unsure.
Walking
If you are already in Batoka Gorge, you can walk to Knife Edge Bridge. Start from the nearest trailhead, which is well-marked. The hike is approximately 2 km and may take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Ensure you have good walking shoes and plenty of water, as the paths can be rugged.
