Car
To reach Dopchim from Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage by car, start by heading north on the main road out of the orphanage. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Great East Road (also known as A1). Turn left onto the Great East Road and continue for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Chingola, and take the exit towards Chingola. Once you enter the town, follow the signs towards Nile Road. Dopchim is located on Nile Road at the coordinates FV4R+HJH. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for local landmarks to help navigate. Parking may be available along the road or nearby.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can start by taking a local minibus from Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage to Chingola. Head to the nearest minibus station and look for a minibus heading towards Chingola. The fare is typically around ZMW 20-30. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Chingola, you can take a taxi or another minibus to Nile Road. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they can drop you off near FV4R+HJH. The taxi fare should be around ZMW 10-20, and the distance from the minibus drop-off to Dopchim is short, making it an easy walk.
