Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Kitwe, the largest city in the Copperbelt Province. Head east on the Kitwe- Ndola dual carriageway (A1) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Luanshya turnoff. Take the exit toward Luanshya and continue straight for approximately 10 kilometers. Once in Luanshya, follow the signs toward the city center. As you approach the center, look for R98G+H9 on your GPS or navigation app. The canyon is located just outside the city proper. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as there may be limited fuel stations in the vicinity.
Public Transportation
To reach Roan Antelope Canyon using public transportation, first make your way to the bus station in Kitwe. Look for a bus heading to Luanshya; these buses are frequent and typically cost around 20 ZMW (Zambian Kwacha). The journey should take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Luanshya, you can either walk to the canyon if you are familiar with the city or hire a local taxi for a small fee, usually around 50 ZMW, which will take you directly to R98G+H9.
