If you are driving from Chipata, head southwest on the A1 road towards Lusaka. After approximately 45 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to Mulungushi Dam. Follow this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach the dam. Be prepared for some unpaved sections as you approach the dam.
Public Transportation
From Chipata, take a minibus (commonly known as a 'kabova') heading towards Lusaka. Inform the driver you wish to get off at the turnoff for Mulungushi Dam. The fare is approximately 20 ZMW. Once you reach the turnoff, you may need to hire a local taxi or wait for a passing vehicle to cover the remaining 20 kilometers to the dam. Taxi fares for this short trip can range from 50 to 100 ZMW depending on negotiation.
