If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kasama, the capital of Northern Province. Head south on the M1 road towards Mbala. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the turn-off to Chishimba Falls. Follow the signs and take a left onto a gravel road leading directly to the falls. The drive from Kasama should take about 30 minutes.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a minibus from Kasama to Mbala. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to Chishimba Falls. From there, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining distance to the falls, which is approximately 5 km. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around ZMW 20-30.
Walking
If you are adventurous and the distance is not too far, after reaching the junction from Kasama, you can choose to walk the 5 km to Chishimba Falls. The walk offers a chance to enjoy the local scenery and interact with local villagers, but make sure to carry enough water and wear comfortable shoes.
