  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Chipata, which is well-connected with major roads. Drive towards the Luangwa Bridge, following the signs for the T4 road. Continue on the T4 for approximately 45km until you reach the junction for the Nyambwezu Falls. Turn onto the dirt road leading to the falls, which is about 15km away. This road can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is no entrance fee for the falls, but be sure to carry enough water and snacks for your trip.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Nyambwezu Falls using public transport, begin your journey in Chipata by taking a minibus taxi heading towards the Luangwa Bridge. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the junction for Nyambwezu Falls. The fare is approximately 20 ZMW. Once you arrive at the junction, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you the remaining 15km to the falls. The cost of the boda boda ride typically ranges from 50 to 100 ZMW, depending on your negotiation skills. Ensure you have cash for these payments, as card facilities may not be available.
