Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you are driving from Mansa, head east on the Mansa-Kaputa Road (A1) for approximately 43 km. Look for the signpost indicating the turnoff to Ntumbachushi Falls. Turn left onto a gravel road and continue driving for about 10 km until you reach the entrance to the falls. Please note that the gravel road can be rough, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
From Mansa, take a minibus heading towards Kaputa. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the turnoff for Ntumbachushi Falls. The fare should be around ZMW 50. Once you reach the turnoff, you may need to arrange for a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining 10 km to the falls. Expect to pay around ZMW 30 for this part of the journey.
Walking
If you are already near the falls and wish to hike, you can approach from the nearest village. From the entrance, the falls are about a 30-minute walk along a well-trodden path. Ensure you have proper footwear as the terrain can be uneven.
