If you are driving from Solwezi, head southeast on the M8 road towards the town of Kabompo. After approximately 70 km, turn onto the D190 road and continue for about 60 km until you reach the junction with the D200 road. Follow the D200 road for another 30 km, and then take the turnoff to the West Lunga River. The river is located at coordinates -11.8680649, 24.5085025. Ensure that your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions, as some parts of the route may require it.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Solwezi, you can take a bus to Kabompo. Multiple bus services operate this route daily. Once you arrive in Kabompo, you will need to find a local taxi or minibus that can take you to the D190 road. Inform the driver that you want to visit the West Lunga River.
