Car
Start your journey from the main town in Northern Province, such as Kasama. Head southeast on the T2 road towards Mbala. Continue following the T2 for approximately 180 km until you reach the junction where the T2 meets the T4 road. Take the T4 road heading east, which will lead you towards the Zambian border with Tanzania. Travel for another 30 km until you reach the town of Vwawa. From Vwawa, navigate to the coordinates VV7V+J9 using a map application or local guidance. Please note that the road conditions may vary, so it's advisable to use a vehicle suitable for rural roads.
Public Transportation
From Kasama, take a bus or minibus heading to Mbala. The journey usually takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Mbala, find a local bus or minibus heading towards Vwawa, which is approximately 30 km away. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at Vwawa. After arriving in Vwawa, you can hire a motorbike taxi (known locally as an 'okada') to take you to the coordinates VV7V+J9. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Always negotiate the fare before starting your journey to avoid any misunderstandings.
