Car Rental
If you are driving from Mfuwe Airport, head west on the M1 road. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance of South Luangwa National Park. There is a park entrance fee of approximately $25 per person, payable in cash at the gate. After entering the park, follow the main road towards the Kaingo Camp area. Look for signs directing you to Kaingo Camp, which is approximately 45 kilometers from the entrance. The road can be bumpy, so drive slowly and be cautious of wildlife.

From Mfuwe, you can catch a minibus heading towards the park. The minibus station is located near the village center. Make sure to negotiate the fare (around $5-$10) before boarding. The minibus will drop you off at the park entrance. From there, you will need to arrange for a private transfer or guide, as Kaingo Camp is not accessible by public transportation directly. Expect to pay an additional $30-$50 for the transfer to the camp, depending on the provider.
