Getting There

  • Car

    From Mongu, head southeast on the A2 road towards Senanga. After approximately 90 kilometers, take the road towards Mwanya. Follow the signs to Simoni Village. Upon reaching Simoni Village, continue for about 5 kilometers to reach Chibembe. Be mindful of local road conditions, especially during the rainy season.

  • Public Transportation

    From Mongu, take a minibus heading towards Senanga. The fare is typically around ZMW 20-30. Once in Senanga, you can hire a taxi or look for another minibus going towards Mwanya. Confirm with the driver that they are stopping at Simoni Village. The total journey may take around 3-4 hours depending on wait times and road conditions.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Simoni Village and need to get to Chibembe, you can walk the remaining 5 kilometers. Follow the main path leading out of the village towards the wildlife park. It's advisable to travel in a group and during daylight hours for safety.

  • Bicycle

    For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Mongu. Follow the same route as for driving. The ride will take about 5-6 hours, so start early in the day. Ensure you have enough water and supplies for the journey.
