If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Mongu, the capital of Western Province. Head northeast on the M9 road towards Kaoma. After about 120 km, you will reach the town of Kaoma. Continue on the M9 for another 30 km until you reach the junction to the M10 road. Turn left onto the M10 and follow the signs for the Lake Bangweulu area. The park entrance is approximately 60 km from this junction. You may encounter some unpaved roads, so ensure your vehicle is equipped for rough terrain. There may be a small entrance fee when you arrive at Lavushi Manda National Park.

To reach Lavushi Manda National Park using public transportation, take a bus from Mongu to Kaoma. The bus ride will take about 2-3 hours and costs around ZMW 50-100.
