From Chimanimani National Park, head southeast on the Biriwa Road. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the B162 road. Turn left onto the B162 road and continue for about 20 kilometers. You will pass through the small town of Chimanimani before reaching Birchenough Bridge. The bridge is located just off the main road, and there are clear signs directing you to the viewing area.
Public Transportation
To reach Birchenough Bridge via public transportation, start by taking a shared taxi or minibus from Chimanimani to the nearest major town, which is Mutare. This journey typically costs around $5 and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Mutare, catch a minibus heading towards Birchenough Bridge. The fare for this leg is approximately $2, and it should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Birchenough Bridge, follow the signs to the bridge and viewing areas.
