Assuming you are starting from the Hwange Main Camp, head southeast on the main road towards the Hwange National Park entrance. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a junction. Take the left fork (this is the road leading to the Mpongola River area). Continue walking for about 3 kilometers until you reach a small footbridge that crosses a stream. From here, follow the trail that leads along the Mpongola River, keeping the river on your left. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will start to hear the sound of water. Follow the path gently uphill for another 500 meters, and you will arrive at the Mpongola River Mini Falls.

If you are renting a bicycle in Hwange, start at Hwange Main Camp and head southeast towards the main road. Cycle along the Hwange National Park entrance road for about 1 kilometer, then take the left towards the Mpongola River area. Continue cycling for 3 kilometers until you reach the footbridge. Disembark your bike and walk along the path by the river for about 2 kilometers. The sound of the falls will guide you; follow the trail uphill for another 500 meters to reach the Mpongola River Mini Falls.
