If you're traveling by car, start from Harare city center. Take the A5 road towards Mutare. After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit towards the A3 road. Follow the A3 road for about 20 kilometers until you see signs for Cleveland Dam. Turn right onto the access road leading to the dam. The total driving time is approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
To reach Cleveland Dam via public transportation, first take a commuter omnibus (commonly known as 'kombis') from Harare city center heading towards Mutare. Get off at the junction where the A3 road meets the A5 road. From there, you may need to catch another kombi heading towards Cleveland Dam specifically, or you can hire a taxi to take you the remaining distance. The entire journey may take about 1-1.5 hours depending on the waiting time and traffic.
Taxi
If you prefer more direct transportation, you can hire a taxi from Harare city center. Provide the driver with the destination 'Cleveland Dam,' and they will take you directly there.
