Getting There

    If you are driving, start from Bulawayo, which is approximately 30 km away. Take the A5 highway heading west towards the Khami Ruins. You will see signs for the ruins along the way. After about 30 minutes of driving, take the exit towards Khami Ruins. The ruins are well-marked and easily accessible from the main road. There is a parking area available at the site.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Khami Ruins by public transport, take a kombi (shared taxi) from Bulawayo's city center to Khami. Kombis frequently run from the city center and the fare is generally quite affordable, around $2-5 USD. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the entrance to the Khami Ruins. The entrance is a short walk from the main road.

  • Walking

    Once you arrive at the entrance of Khami Ruins, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which is about $5 USD for adults. Make sure to keep some local currency on hand for this.
