What to expect
The trekking guide will receive you from the hotel, and drive to the airport for an early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft), a scenic mountain airstrip. Begin trekking from Lukla to Fakding, a beautiful village along the DudhKoshi River.
Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you will start your journey from Phakding to Namche, the main trading center of the Khumbu region. This trek will include several suspension bridges and ascend gradually along the trail enjoying the stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Namche Bazaar
A day in the mountains would be good to explore and acclimatize. Spend a day acclimatizing to the high altitude, optionally hiking up to Everest View Hotel for a panoramic view of Everest and surrounding peaks. You can visit local markets, explore around, and learn mountain lifestyle from the Sherpa people.
This day will be a much more beautiful day with a panoramic view of Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam en route. After descending for about two hours through the rhododendron forest, you will then climb up to the Tenboche, where the famous Tenboche Monastery is located. Visit Tenboche Monastery to witness evening prayers.
Dingboche
Dingboche is a beautiful village in the Khumbu Valley, from where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Island Peak, and other Himalayas. The walk consists of an alpine forest and barren land and after crossing the river the route passes through the beautiful mountain Panboche village.
Dingboche
As the mountain elevation rises, there is an immense need for body acclimatization to get rid of altitude sickness, hence spend the day acclimatizing in Dinboche. Optionally you can hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chukhung Valley for stunning views of the mountains. Explore the mountain village, and interact with local people.
On this day, we will start early by crossing the Khumbu River, and ascend gradually through rocky terrain and glacial moraines. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the final settlement before Everest Base Camp. You will reach there, have lunch, settle your bags, then continue trekking to Everest Base Camp, explore Everest Base Camp, enjoy the beautiful moment, take pictures then return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
Kala Patthar is considered the best place to capture an excellent view of Mt. Everest, so in the early morning, hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views over Everest, Lhotse, and other peaks. Return to Gorak Shep, have breakfast, and then trek back to Pheriche.
Descending is much easier compared to ascending, but we should be careful with our steps and body balance, also the problems will knees may hurt so we should equally be careful. You can enjoy the landscapes and views during the downhill trail.
This will be the final day of trekking for their route, and a short trek as well. You can spend a good evening, celebrating the success with your trekking companion including a guide, porters, and fellow trekkers.
Tribhuvan International Airport
Take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel, then you can spend your leisure day, relaxing or exploring around, or even with relaxing foot and body messages. The farewell dinner will be organized in the evening, enjoy the dinner, talk about the beautiful experience, and get ready for other plans.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
