Mohamed has been a fantastic guide, helped us in everything during the trip and made it an amazing experience. We have seen all the animals, on many occasions being alone because of the great experience they have, and we have enjoyed the parks 100%. The hotels offered by the company are perfect, both facilities and staff. Amazing!!!!!

I had booked this safari trip with Jerome. He is very professional and responsible. Since this is the first time I booked a safari tour, he always answered my questions quickly and throughly. He had visited us twice before and after tour to make sure we were comfortable. We requested a tour guide with experience and easy to communicate. Jerome had assigned Samwel to us as our tour guide. He is exactly what we asked. He had a lot of years experience so can easily find animals. He is very acknowledgeable with Tanzania history and culture so he gave us an introduction of this beautiful country. He is also very flexible. He can adjusted our schedule based on what we requested at same time to make sure we saw everything. Thank both Jerome and Samwel to make our trip comfortable. Meru slopes is absolutely we will recommend if you are interested in booking a safari tour in Tanzania.

We are so glad that we chose Meru Slopes! Meru Slopes provided a safari experience that managed to exceed our already high expectations. Gift Tembo communicated swiftly and clearly during our planning. He helped us customize the perfect 8 day safari experience. Our driver and guide Florian was friendly, experienced, very professional, and responsible for providing us with an even better experience than we could have imagined. He knew every animal and could spot them with surprising speed. We noticed many other safari companies struggling with inexperienced or poorly maintained vehicles. Our vehicle was very well maintained and our driver gave us the highest confidence. We also did a Materuni Falls day trip, prior to our safari. In that case, our driver and guide was Herman. As with the other Meru Slopes team members, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and the best guide and new friend. I highly recommend Meru Slopes tours and safaris. Their prices were very fair, their lodges and hotels were spectacular, and their guides were the utmost professionals.

Highly recommend this safari company for anyone planning a trip to Africa! From the very beginning, when I first reached out via email, our operator Almachius was incredibly responsible and efficient — he carefully crafted an itinerary that fully considered all my requests. Due to a last-minute change in our flight schedule, we urgently needed to postpone our trip by a day, and Almachius quickly adjusted everything for us without any issues. The itinerary he arranged was thoughtful and seamless. As for the safari experience itself, our guide Robert was simply outstanding. With 12 years of experience, he helped us spot four of the Big Five (except for the rhino) within the first two days — truly unforgettable! He was not only skilled at tracking animals but also explained their behaviors to us, helping us understand what they were likely to do next. We saw so many animals, and Robert always patiently answered our questions and shared his knowledge. Although we didn’t catch the Great Migration at the Mara River, we were lucky to witness a mini river crossing by wildebeest in the western Serengeti — still an incredible experience. Huge thanks to Robert for giving us such an amazing and memorable trip. I really hope to come back again during the peak migration season in July–September!

We just returned from an incredible safari with Meru Slopes Safari, and we are still in awe! From start to finish, everything was well-coordinated, smooth, and professional. The true standout of our experience was our amazing guide and driver, Jacob. Jacob is not only incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife and the ecosystems of Tanzania, but he also has a great personality—friendly, patient, and always eager to share interesting facts and stories. He made us feel safe, excited, and truly immersed in the experience every single day. Thanks to Jacob’s sharp eyes, we saw the Big Five (and much more!) up close and in their natural habitat. A major highlight of our accommodations was Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge—absolutely stunning! It offered the perfect mix of luxury and nature. The staff were warm and attentive, the views were spectacular, and every detail made us feel pampered and connected to the surroundings. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, we cannot recommend Meru Slopes Safari and Jacob enough. This experience far exceeded our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. Arusha

Your driver will meet you at Arusha and take you to the Arusha Planet Lodge in Arusha town, where you will stay. As you settle into your lodging, get ready to begin your safari in the morning. You'll have a chance to get a little briefing about your tour and every aspect of your package that is necessary.

Tarangire National Park

You will have an early breakfast and then head to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, carrying a packed lunch. The world's highest concentrations of elephants and bird species in breeding plumage can be found in this beautiful park. Wildlife is abundant in Tarangire National Park, particularly during the dry season. Large cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the infrequently sighted Kudu, oryx, and gerenuk. Massive herds of gazelles, zebras, and wildebeests are drawn to the Tarangire River, where they are hunted by predators. You'll make your way to Ang'ata Tented Camp later in the afternoon to spend the night and have dinner.

Serengeti National Park

You'll make your way to the well-known Serengeti National Park this morning. You will make a stop in a Maasai village along the way to learn more about this graceful warrior culture. After arriving in the Serengeti, you'll have a picnic for lunch before going on an amazing game drive. When you visit this region of the Serengeti between May and July, you can witness a significant shift—the great migration of wildebeests crossing the Grumeti River. The herds have to dodge the swift-moving water and crocodiles before coming up against the predators that are waiting on the other side. A magnificent show. You will spend the night in the Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.

Serengeti National Park

You will get up early to leave your lodge and spend the entire day traveling across the plains with the herds, taking in the sights and sounds of the great migration. Observing the annual migration of hoofed mammals in a clockwise circle, trailed by predators, is an amazing experience. The Serengeti is the best place to go if you want to see all five of the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo) in one park. You'll go back to the Central Serengeti luxury tent camps, where you will spend the night and dinner. The lodge boasts amazing views of the Serengeti.

You'll head out for a game drive in the Serengeti's central region after breakfast. This area is well-known for its profusion of lions and leopards, which are typically easy to spot. This central area offers year-round, spectacular game viewing. You'll savor the sights of unending plains and breathtaking fauna, including pangolins, ostriches, hippos, giraffes, elephants, and cheetahs. After having lunch at Serengeti, you will be heading to Ngorongoro for an overnight stay and dinner.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On this day, you'll head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Nearly 30.000 animals, including the Big Five, are housed there. Zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs, and the endangered black rhinos are all abundant in the crater. The crater appears almost surreal due to the stunning colors and moving clouds. The Ngorongoro Crater was selected as one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders due to its breathtaking natural beauty. You will make your way to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and the night in the late afternoon.

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will be met at your accommodation by your safari guide. You will then set out for Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park is so named for a shallow salt lake that covers a large area of the park's surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons, this soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos with another 500 bird species represented in the park. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes —not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After an extensive game drive through the park, you will head toward to Arusha Planet Lodge.
