Astrid grew up in the small Norwegian town of Kongsvinger, surrounded by forests and lakes. Her childhood was filled with outdoor adventures, fostering a deep appreciation for nature. After studying photography in Oslo, she felt a pull to explore beyond Norway. She met her husband, Liam, while backpacking through Europe, and they eventually settled in Banff, Canada, drawn to the stunning mountain landscapes. While wildlife photography is her passion, she enjoys sharing her travel experiences on Evendo as a hobby.

Banff, Canada. Living here and exploring the surrounding wilderness daily is a dream come true. The majestic mountains, turquoise lakes, and abundant wildlife provide endless inspiration.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. The hotel offers a Cayman Cookout room package that includes six nights of accommodations and two tickets to six events throughout the week, as well as round-trip transportation from Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) to the hotel and daily breakfast for two.

My Adventurous Destination
Exploring the jungles of Borneo in search of orangutans was definitely my most adventurous trip. The humidity, dense vegetation, and unpredictable wildlife kept us on our toes, but it was worth every moment to see those incredible creatures in their natural habitat.

Tokyo, Japan. The variety and quality of food are simply outstanding. From fresh sushi and savory ramen to delicate mochi, every meal is an adventure. Plus, the vibrant street food scene is an experience in itself.
