What to expect
Chhomrong
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Jhinu Danda (approximately 2.5–3 hours). Begin the trek by crossing the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola and ascending through beautiful terraced fields and lush rhododendron forests to Sinuwa. Enjoy your first close views of the Annapurna region and spend the night at a comfortable teahouse.
Sinuwa
Today's trail passes through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests, crossing small streams and waterfalls along the way. Walk through Bamboo and Dovan before reaching the peaceful settlement of Himalaya, surrounded by towering cliffs and pristine mountain scenery.
Continue through Deurali and Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), where spectacular views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) begin to unfold. From MBC, make the final ascent to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m), surrounded by the magnificent peaks of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna massif. After breakfast, retrace your steps through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, and Himalaya before continuing down to Dovan. Descending through alpine landscapes and lush forests makes for a comfortable trekking day.
Pokhara
Descend through Bamboo, Sinuwa, and Chhomrong before reaching Jhinu Danda. If time permits, relax in the famous natural hot springs beside the Modi River before driving back to Pokhara, where your memorable Annapurna Base Camp adventure concludes.
