Walking
From Lakeside, head northwest on the main road (Pokhara- Baglung Highway). Continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach the Prithvi Chowk. At Prithvi Chowk, take a left onto the road leading towards the airport. Walk straight for another 20 minutes, passing by local shops and eateries. You will eventually reach the base of the hill where Machhapuchchhre is located. Note that you will have a great view of the mountain as you approach.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Lakeside. Start cycling towards the Pokhara- Baglung Highway. Follow the highway north for about 30 minutes until you reach Prithvi Chowk. Take a left turn towards the airport road and continue straight for 20 minutes. Keep your eyes peeled for signs pointing towards Machhapuchchhre. You can park your bicycle at the base and walk the rest of the way for the best views.
