What to expect
Makola Market
Makola Market was constructed in Accra in 1924 and stood at the heart of the urban Ghanaian life. This market is the main wholesale and retail marketplace in Accra, the epicenter of trade in the country and one of the nation's most important social and cultural institutions.
Founded in 1957, the National Museum of Ghana is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum has three primary collection areas; archaeology, ethnography, and art, which are used to weave together a story about Ghana's rich cultural history. Objects range in age from the Stone Age to the recent past, and include indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, beads, traditional textiles, furniture and pottery.
We will end our tour at the art center where participants will be allowed to shop for souvenirs.
James Town Lighthouse
We will continue to Jamestown to under take a drive through tour of one of the oldest and vibrant neighborhoods in Accra. We will also visit one of the boxing gyms in Jamestown as Jamestown is known to be the heartbeat of Ghanaian boxing history.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
