Your Itinerary

Plaza Nueva

This tour will begin in one of the most important squares of the city, the Plaza Nueva. Its origin must be found in Christian times, when in 1506 the extension of the hitherto Hatabin bridge or the lumberjacks was determined, which we were already at another entrance at the confluence of this square with Elvira street and Reyes Catolicos street.

Calle Caldereria Nueva

Calderería Street is a pedestrian street in the capital that descends from the Placeta de San Gregorio to the well-known Elvira Street. It is also known as «Calle de las Teterías» due to its huge premises dedicated to serving teas of all types.

Acera del Darro

The Darro River bridges were a fundamental element in the urban structure of the Islamic and Christian city, articulating the visual dialogue and accessibility between both banks of the River. At present, only five of them have survived, located in the well-known Carrera del Darro and in the Paseo de los Tristes, of all those who crossed the Darro riverbed until its mouth in the Genil river. The majority of these bridges were destroyed or their vestiges are found under the current Darro embossdado, an engineering work that was carried out between the 17th and 19th centuries, establishing a new image of the 'modern' city to the taste of the great European metropolises.

Mezquita Mayor de Granada

The Mezquita Mayor de Granada is an Islamic temple inaugurated in 2003 in the city of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, in southern Spain. It is the first mosque built in the city since 1492

Iglesia de San Gil y Santa Ana

It was built in 1537, as the seat of the parish of the same name, according to Diego de Siloé's project, the most renowned artist of the time in his area, on the expanded plot with the purchase of farms around the urban space where previously there was the Aljama Almanzora mosque.

Mirador de San Nicolas

The Mirador de San Nicolás is perhaps the most famous in Granada. Since Bill Clinton visited him in 1997 and said he saw "the most beautiful sunset in the world," it has become a must see.

Murallas de Albarracin

The ZirĂ Wall is one of the sections of the AlbaicĂn wall. It is located in the highest area of the neighborhood, where the Ibero-Roman city that received the name of Eliberri stood. This 11th century canvas is one of the oldest monuments in the city. It is part of the original nucleus of the Islamic city of Granada, where it is thought that the Qasaba Qadima or Alcazaba Vieja of the ZirĂ monarch Habus (1013) was located. The Aljibe del Rey (11th century) and the Nasrid Palace of Dar-al-Horra (15th century) are in this same environment.

Plaza Larga

The Door of the Weights, New Gate, or Arch of the weights located next to the present Long Square, also was called of the Ensanche (Bab Al Ziyada). It is one of the first corner doors of Hispano-Muslim architecture and was one of the access points of the ZirĂ wall, which separated the AlbaicĂn from the Alcazaba Qadima (Old) neighborhood.

Puerta de las Pesas

The Door of the Weights, New Gate, or Arch of the weights located next to the present Long Square, also was called of the Ensanche (Bab Al Ziyada). It is one of the first doors in corner of the Hispano-Muslim architecture and was one of the access points of the zirĂ wall

Sacromonte

The SacroMonte is today the headquarters of the gypsies of Granada. It is, to speak with property, a city within a city with a population that has particular customs and languages… the slopes of the hill are undermined by infinite holes or grottos that serve as housing for the gypsies. ”In 1862, the writer Charles Davillier I saw the Valparaíso hill, where one of the six neighborhoods of the Albaicín de Granada sits.

The Alhambra

During Two Hours we will see the Alhambra and all its palaces and Gardens, with Skip The Line entrance.
